Based in London, Dr. Chi-Chi Obuaya is an experienced consultant psychiatrist specialising in a broad range of mental health issues among both younger and older adults.

He takes a special interest in helping those in need including victims of human trafficking, refugees, and asylum seekers. In addition, he offers medico-legal services such as reports for personal injury, clinical negligence, and immigration cases, and relevant documentation for the Court of Protection and Family Courts.

Dr. Chi-Chi Obuaya operates privately out of Pinero House on Harley Street. However, he also works as a consultant at the Nightingale Hospital in Marylebone and the Adult ADHD Clinic of the CNWL NHS Foundation Trust.

Using evidence-based treatment and innovative techniques, Dr. Chi-Chi Obuaya is able to offer a patient-centred programme. Prior to beginning a treatment plan, he recommends doing a thorough mental and physical health assessment to assure that the patient receives the care they need.

Dr. Chi-Chi Obuaya can help with a number of psychological problems including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, personality disorders, schizophrenia, postnatal depression, and ADHD. He is also glad to counsel those dealing with bereavement, suicidal thoughts, or work-related stress.

Career

Dr. Chi-Chi Obuaya’s career was inspired by his father, who also was a psychiatrist for the NHS. After starting his career as a Psychiatrist at the Churchill London Clinic, he went on to become a Consultant Psychiatrists at the Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust and a Governing Body Member at the Brent Clinical Commissioning Group.

In 2011, he received the University of Cardiff/Bond Solon Expert Witness Certificate after having served as an expert witness and compiled reports for numerous legal cases.

At the moment, he is operating privately at Pinero House on Harley Street and consulting at the Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust as well as the Nightingale Hospital. He is also a trustee at a youth charity – the Camden Spear Trust.

Education

Dr. Chi-Chi Obuaya holds a number of certifications and accreditations including a degree in General Adult Psychology from the Royal Free & University College London Medical School, an International Health BSc from University College London, and an MBA with Merit from Imperial College London.

He has also received mentoring from the renowned Dr. Jeremy Pfeffer and is currently a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
