Mandy’s Approach

Mandy’s main focus is to try to break down the negative stigma and stereotypes surrounding addiction, substance abuse, and mental health. She is big on building self-respect and self-esteem.

In addition, she strongly believes in early intervention and points out that the family’s supporting role is crucial to the long-term recovery of the patient.

Career

Mandy started out as a TV producer, working primarily on commercials and promotional ads, until she became a victim of addiction herself. However, once she completed treatment, she found a whole new purpose in life that revolved around helping others.

Working with various professionals and addiction treatment specialists through apprenticeships and mentoring, Mandy not only got her foot in the door but became an expert at what she does. It’s a true patient-to-therapist fairy tale.

Looking through her resume, you’ll quickly see that Mandy is a real go-getter and someone that’s truly passionate about her work. No matter where her career has taken her, she has always had a history of working from the bottom and quickly rising to the top.

Before launching her private practice, she worked at the Proms Recovery Centre, became a manager of the outpatient unit and therapist at Kent and London, and acted as a therapist at the Harley Street and Kent Practice.

Education

Mandy completed her Masters Degree in Addiction Psychology and Counselling at the London South Bank University (LSBU).

Lecturer/Public Speaker

Mandy regularly makes appearances on TV, podcasts, and radio networks, as well as in-person events. She has also been the star of several reality shows and documentaries such as “In Therapy” and “Violent Child, Desperate Parents”.

As someone who’s passionate about helping others, she is often invited to hold talks, lectures, and workshops on the topics of mental health and addiction. If you’re interested in seeing her live, you can look up her TED Talk, “Feelings” on YouTube.

Many is the author of Proactive Parenting, a bestseller that helps parents navigate through the various mental health challenges their kids may encounter growing up. For many fans of the book, it has been a life-changing read.
