Basing her treatment plan on psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), as well as the 12 steps, Samantha provides a bespoke treatment plan for all her patients. She will happily work alongside your healthcare providers to create the ideal therapeutic programme.
Samantha is a fan of taking the holistic approach. Some of the methods and techniques utilised during treatment include Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), meditation, mindfulness, experiential therapy, group therapy, and workshops.
Samantha has built a stellar resume working as an addiction treatment specialist at a number of institutions in both inpatient and outpatient facilities. During her career, she has helped patients from all walks of life, including the homeless and prior offenders.
She has spent nearly three years at the world-renowned Priory Group, during which she also volunteered at Steps2Recovery. Currently, she runs her own private practice, which has been open since January 2019 but also helps out at the Nightingale Hospital.
After studying at University of Bath to get her Addictions Counselling FdSc, Samantha got her EMDR Accredited Practitioner license at the University of Worcester. She also received training from Action on Addiction, a distinguished UK-based charity.
Other accreditations include an ISAT Diploma in Sex Addiction, a Heart Math Coach certification, and qualifications in both Experiential and Psychodrama Training Methods and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).
In addition, Samantha is a member of the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT) and the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Addiction and Compulsivity (ATSAC).
